Namaste Technologies Branding

Namaste Technologies is an international cannabis eCommerce company operating in 20 countries. As a rapidly growing and expanding company in the technology and cannabis industries they wanted to update their brand image to match the innovation and expertise of their operations. In their words, “We are a worldwide collective of industry experts focused on providing the best cannabis-related products & services available. We are the future of cannabis.”

The new design is more modern, feels like a technology company, but still maintains a softer friendly side. We updated the lotus logomark to be more dimensional. The overlapping shapes give depth and energy, an almost vibrational feeling. The leaves represent the growing network of the company that simultaneously unfurl but continue to be part of the core values and mission. The arch above brings structure and strength as they build into the future.

Part of the challenge was to create a brand that would translate across the Namaste Technologies landscape and be capable of representing sub-brands as the company expanded into new markets and technologies.

Each sub-brand design would need logos, color palettes, and digital design to feel unique but part of a connected family of brands.

Photography helped to humanize the branding and highlights the variety of individuals that use Namaste Technologies. We wanted to setup the expectation that this is a come one, come all environment. We chose natural images of individuals with a candid, upbeat or quirky energy. A photo filter was created to keep the images visually aligned with the brand color palette.
